Dans cette lignée, voici une toute nouvelle initiative Vimeo commandée par Canon, The story behond the still ! Le défi lancé aux vidéastes est de faire une vidéo à partir d’une image imposée. Cette image est la dernière frame de la vidéo déjà tournée par un des membres du jury. Une belle initiative dans la communauté Vimeo qui fait également la promotion des produits Canon. Vimeo is definitely a unique Internet platform for videasts. Besides being able to post their films, the website emphasizes on creativity in order to stimulate it, and get it discovered. In this perspective, here is a new Vimeo initiative initiated by Canon, The story beyond the still ! The videasts challenge is to create a film from a pre-determined image. This image is the last frame of the video shot by a member of the jury. A really nice initiative in the Vimeo community who’s also promoting Canon’s products. See it next !

Introducing the first user-generated HD Video Contest where photographers become filmmakers, and we all see beyond the still. To kick off the contest, Canon asked photographer, Vincent Laforet, to interpret what story lives beyond this still and to tell that story with the new Canon EOS 7D. His will be the first chapter of seven, each ending with a still photograph for the next aspiring filmmaker to interpret. Posing the question to everyone, what do you see beyond the still?
Submissions for the next chapter are due February 11.
